Instagram Launched Two New Ad Formats: Ads In Search Results And Reminder Ads
Meta-owned social media platform Instagram, has announced two new tools for advertisers, in order to increase discoverability and forming meaningful connections –ads in search results and reminder ads.
Ads in search results
Ads will show up when the Instagram users make a search for content, product or businesses in “Ads in search results” which is in testing mode. For example, when searching for “skin care”, content with the tag “sponsored” will appear among the results.They plan to launch this placement globally in the coming months.

Reminder Ads
Another innovation of Instagram will be reminder ads. Businesses will be able to use reminder ads to announce their upcoming events or launches and to notify people easily.Three notification will be sent to users from Insagram one day before, 15 minutes before,and at the time of the event.

The new tools to be offered on Instagram are considered as a solution to increase the revenues of Meta, whose advertising revenues are decreasing. In Meta’s financial results for the fourth quarter of 2022, it was announced that advertising revenues decreased from $ 32.6 billion to $ 31.2 billion compared to the previous period.
